Despite all of the horrors of war, there are still some hopeful stories. From the Israel 21C electronic newsletter, here’s a story about the possibility and reality of cooperation:
During this time of tragic conflict in Gaza and Israel, the media is full of images and stories about violence, and the battle between the Israel Defense Force and Hamas.
But far from the media spotlight, stories of cooperation and coexistence still exist, stories that demonstrate the extraordinary ability of ordinary people on both sides of the conflict to reach out and help one another.
Last week, while missiles were raining down on both Gaza and Israel, Israeli and Palestinian doctors worked together to save the life of Jafar, a two-week-old Palestinian baby, born with a heart defect.
