Hillel International is encouraging all the local Hillel’s and their students to participate in a “Day of service” as part of the “Renewing America Together” initiative, on MLK day, 1/19/09. The idea is that The United States is once again at a crossroads and that is why the President-elect hopes to use the occasion of his Inauguration to rally our nation to commit to service in our communities.
What can you do? Anything to give back and help the community. Some examples will be helping at the homeless shelter, give blood, collect food for needy people, etc. Contact us if you are interested in suggesting a group activity that day. THANK YOU!
