There will be a walk on campus (meet at 5pm at Hillel), and a ceremony at Hillel at 6:15pm. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Always remember

Always remember

Because today is Holocaust Memorial Day and that I feel it is my responsibility as a granddaughter of a holocaust survivor I am going to read a prayer/ memorial and dedicate it to those who lost their lives in the Holocaust and their families and anyone who was affected by it.

Although I can not explain why this occurred,
This tragic event was so shocking it left my vision blurred.
The millions of innocent people who lost their precious lives.
There is no answer to the violence, danger and knives.
They kicked you out of your homes and schools.
How could anyone be so cruel?
I hope we all take this day and pray.
For our lives shall be better today.
No more hatred, racism or lies.
No more sad and sorrow good byes.
A brighter future is for us to hold,
Let us put the past behind and be bold.
For we will never forget the cruelty they had,
But, let us hope to let go and not be mad.
To great people who we have grown,
To overcome such a tragic event it has shown.
A brutal history in our past,
Let us carry into the future a positive shadow that now we may cast.
