The Florida State University’s Israel support groups are delighted to announce the inaugural “Florida Loves Israel” (FLI) conference February 2-5^th 2012.

Appreciating that Florida has a pre-existing strong disposition for pro-Israel student advocates, we at Florida State University are committed to bringing together all pro-Israel students and community members, from over ten universities across the state. FLI provides the opportunity for students and community members to learn about Israeli culture and advocacy through workshops, breakout sessions, and speakers. In addition, you will have the opportunity to network with various leaders, both student and professional. Participating national and international organizations include StandWithUs, The David Project, Hasbara Fellowships, The Zionist Organization of America, The Jewish National Fund, The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, and Yishai Fleisher who is Managing Editor at the JewishPress.com and host of Israel’s only English-language broadcast-radio talk show Galey Israel. The goals we seek to accomplish at FLI are to:

1. Create a unified, state-wide, collegiate pro-Israel message through advocacy efforts.
2. Create a state-wide pro-Israel activist network throughout Florida’s universities.
3. Educate students and community members on the importance of the Florida Israel relationship.
4. Provide the necessary tools to educate leaders within their respective communities the importance of Israel activism.
5. Create an action plan for the sustainability of the annual Florida Loves Israel program.
