A few Jewish medical students have decided to begin a chapter of the Maimonides Society at FSU. The goal of the society is to welcome and support students by providing them with a sense of Jewish community and culture. Maimonides will include both undergraduate and graduate students interested in exploring Judaism and how it relates to the practice of medicine and medically related fields. We plan to have guest speakers, offer premed advising to students interested in pursuing medical or medically related careers and explore how Judaism can relate to working life. As we are just beginning to get started, we are looking for motivated people to help organize the group and get us up and running. Our advisor will be Dr. Beitsch, a professor at the medical school. Please contact Dovi Snipelisky with any questions or if you want to get involved.
