Sprinkle these random acts through your day. Sometimes it’s the only positive thing that happens.
When vacationing this summer (or any time for that matter) and staying at a hotel collect all the individual size hygiene products soaps, shampoos, lotions, conditioners, toothbrushes, ect,ect that you can (hint if you stash them in your suitcase every night the cleaning staff of the hotel will put out more for you to collect the next day). Donate these items collected to the local battered women’s shelter, homeless shelter or other assistance charity either in your hometown or the town you are visiting. There they can be used by those who really need them. (Please do not donate used items of this variety).
Buy one additional item of canned food and put it in the Second Harvest food drop box at your grocery store — or bring it by Hillel’s drop box.
Drop an extra can of dog or cat food into the designated box at the grocery next time you go shopping.
Wash your roommates dishes.
Let that person turn left in front of you, even if you don’t make the light.
Slow down. Appreciate the world around you.
Contact a local senior living center and volunteer to call BINGO once a week.
Stop by Hillel and see if there’s a odd job or two to take care of (like watering the flower boxes.)
