Chuck it for Charity

April 12th, 2010 · No Comments

Bring us your empty printer cartridges! We’ll get $$’s for them. We take all kinds — there a donation center box by the downstairs back door. Then, as you begin planning what you are going to do with all that “stuff” you’ve collected and don’t want to move — bring it to Hillel starting with the Bagel hBrunch on April18th. We’ll have donation locations for clothes, books, office supplies, canned/dry goods, even furniture. It’s all part of the Sustainable Campus movement. Bring it to us and we’ll be sure to get it to the charity that needs it the most.

Parents Jealous of Birthright? They can go too!

April 5th, 2010 · No Comments

Tell your parents about this awesome program!

“Teach your parents well”

Have your children been to Israel and you haven’t?  Did your son or daughter go on Taglit:  Birthright Israel and tell you what a wonderful and amazing experience it was?  Have you wanted to go to Israel and experience it yourself?

Join UF Hillel as we create an opportunity for PARENTS to experience Israel as their children have on this special 10 day trip to Israel.  Stay where your children stayed, see what your children saw, and experience what your children experienced.  Plus have the unique experience of letting your children teach you about what to expect.

Depart Florida on 14th of July landing in Israel on the 15th, a Thursday and returning to Florida on July 25th. Cost is approximately $3,000 per person (based on double occupancy).  Price may vary depending on the cost of the flights at booking time.
